I’m a passionate vegan cook sharing inspiring, easy and low-waste recipes. Cooking has always been a big passion. I love everything about the process; exploring new flavors, trying intimidating techniques, and even failing huge. OK, so maybe I could do without the dishes, but it’s worth it when a recipe pays off.
I’ve been vegan since 2006 and what an incredible journey it’s been. In that time so many products have come and go. It’s thrilling how accessible everything is now. I still remember when there were no plant-based cheese options available locally. We would order a bulk bag and divvy it up. How very dial-up!
These days I try to stick to a whole foods diet. Not only because it’s better for my health, but it falls perfectly in line with my zero waste goals. Am I perfect at zero waste, no. And that’s ok. Progress, not perfection. Every behavior change makes a difference and it can be much easier than you may think. Just take it one change at a time.
Buddy and Buns is inspired by my other loves, Westley and Lola. They’re my gorgeous ginger boy and feisty, yet so lovable, little tortie girl. 🐾 I’m very much an animal lover, which led me to a plant-based diet. My kitties bring so much joy and I hope they do to you as well when you get to see them.Â

Along with all the recipes, I plan to use the blog to share my hobbies with tips and tricks that you might also find useful on your journey to reduce waste.
