Banana Waffles with Sourdough Starter - Vegan
Get ready, these banana waffles with sourdough starter are the perfect blend of flavors. Light and fluffy on the inside and crisp to perfection on the outside.
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/3 cup sourdough starter
- 3/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1/3 cup mashed banana
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat the waffle iron.
In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix to combine.
Then add the plant-based milk, sourdough starter, oil, banana and vanilla. Stir to until it is just combined, do not over-mix.
Make waffles in waffle iron. Top with sliced bananas and maple syrup.
